Miles, Mornings & A Deeper Friendship - Episode 27
This hunt is more than a tag—it’s the continuation of a friendship years in the making. I first met Russell Ginn on one of the very first hunts I ever attended with Hope Outdoors. From that moment on, we built a friendship rooted in faith, perseverance, and a shared love for turkey hunting. Russell is a double amputee, but anyone who’s hunted with him knows that doesn’t define him—his determination does. Over the years, we’ve chased gobblers together across multiple states. Missouri. My cousin’s place in Belmont. Season after season, sunrise after sunrise, we kept grinding—always believing the moment would come. Russell is also a gifted turkey call maker. He founded Peg Legs Game Calls, and today he continues crafting calls with Rolling Thunder Game Calls—still answering the call in every sense of the word. Now, we find ourselves in Tennessee, hoping to finally connect with an Eastern gobbler and finish a chapter that’s been years in the making. This hunt isn’t about limitations. It’s about the building of a deeper friendship . It’s about hope. And it’s about proving the outdoors belongs to everyone.
